Hannah’s Book Review

Last night Dad and I read “Stig of the Dump” by Clive King.

It’s about a boy called Barney, his little sister Lou, and Stig. Stig is a unknown boy who lives alone in the dump and makes and invents his own stuff from junk from the dump. Barney thought Stig’s age was 10, 20, 100 or 1000! Barney visits Stig at the dump whenever he went to his Grandmas house and they have lots of exciting adventures!

I love this story because Stig and Barney always do great activities together, and sometimes Lou comes along. Stig is very clever and creative because he makes useful gadgets from junk, like the spear with a long shaft of smooth hazel wood and a head of gleaming flint.

I hope you like my first book review, and please come back for more soon!
